A complete 3D game engine for your PC. Build entire worlds — cities, oceans, armies, vehicles, weapons — then step inside and play them.
> one installer · no subscription · keeps itself up to date, forever
Chaos Theory is a real desktop application — the full engine, the Forge editor, the character and sound tools, all in one installer. No subscription. No seat license. No royalty on what you make.
Unsigned build — Windows SmartScreen may ask once. Choose More info → Run anyway.
This isn't a toy. It's ~106,000 lines of purpose-built engine — characters, vehicles, weapons, physics, AI, oceans, multiplayer and a full world editor, all shipping in one app.
A full world editor built into the engine. Sculpt terrain, place thousands of objects, wire up triggers and game modes, then hit play — no build step, no compile.
Realistic single-mesh bipeds with a bone rig, a full animator, motion-capture import and a character creator — male & female morphs, tintable everything.
Lofted single-mesh car bodies with real soft-body crush deformation. Doors, seats, AI drivers and passengers, debris on impact.
Buoyant hulls that ride real waves, throw wake and can flood, list and sink. Skiffs, cruisers, barges — even full pirate ships with cannons.
Streamed reefs, kelp forests and caves teeming with schooling fish, sharks — and a rare, dangerous Abyss Maw. Creatures hunt, flee, and die.
Sculpted weapon archetypes with first-person viewmodels, reload & idle animations, muzzle flash, tracers and hit FX — melee to firearms.
Hordes that claw up out of the ground, navmesh pathfinding, patrols and waypoints, plus a full RTS command mode for directing armies.
Procedural cityscapes populated by civilians, traffic and police — with a wanted system that escalates when you cause chaos.
Corner-based rigid bodies, a 17-particle ragdoll solver and destructible objects that shatter, topple and come apart under fire.
Capture the Flag with its own editor, radar and objectives, a custom HUD editor, checkpoints and triggers — design the rules, not just the map.
A GTA-style third-person camera with wall-occlusion, cutscene tools, day/night lighting and bloom — your world always looks its best.
Worlds bigger than memory. Far-away objects, AI and effects cull out and reload seamlessly behind an impostor skyline as you roam.
Everything below is captured live in Chaos Theory — the same build you download, running on an ordinary desktop GPU.
Toggle it on and the seafloor becomes an adventure: cliff walls, caves and kelp streamed around you, schools of colorful fish, patrolling sharks and rare deep-water predators.
Generate a downtown, fill it with traffic and pedestrians, then jack a car with real crumple physics and watch the wanted stars climb as the police roll in.
Design a cast in the character creator, animate them in the built-in animator, arm them from the arsenal — then let the ragdoll solver take over when the shooting starts.
Most engines make you download a 4 GB update every few months and hope your project still opens. Chaos Theory works the other way around: the engine streams from our servers at launch, so improvements land while you sleep.
A new weapon, a physics fix, a whole new world system — pushed the moment it's ready, not bundled into a quarterly release.
The engine loads fresh every launch. The update is simply already there — no patcher, no progress bar, no "restart to continue".
Maps and assets live in your own folders on your own disk. Updating the engine never touches them.
> The launcher itself updates in the background too — quietly, on quit —
so the only time you'll ever reinstall by hand is never.
A platform designed to be the one parents trust and creators actually get paid on.
Publish maps and assets to the marketplace with a wallet, reviews and wishlists — and keep the vast majority of what you earn. Build on other creators' work and everyone gets paid.
No open chat with strangers. Invite-only friends. No external links. The multiplayer world your kid literally cannot be messaged by a stranger in — safety that's built into the architecture, not bolted on.
Peer-to-peer multiplayer with lobbies, join codes, host migration, reconnect and spectator mode — so friends can jump into your world with a six-character code.
